Ask a Freebord Pro: Center Wheel Height

By February 10, 2012May 19th, 20142 Comments

Rider Question:
I’ve been feebording for a few months now and I’ve been wondering where my center wheels should be, closer to the board or farther from the board. Also, I’d like to know what some pros recommend for where the center wheels should be positioned.

Thanks,
Greg

What’s up Greg?

Just like all of your board settings, it comes down to personal preference. Personally, I ride with both center wheels furthest from the board. One of the greatest benefits of this is that it minimizes your chances of catching an edge because it brings your edge wheels furthest from the ground. Along with this, I found that it’s easier to lock into presses with maximum rocker. This is a huge selling point for me because pressing is one of my favorite moves on a freebord.

So get out to the streets and mess around with your settings. Everyone rides differently so move around your center wheels and find what works best for you. Shred on and make sure you wear a helmet! Later.
