The Times (South Africa): Plane crashes into bakkie – no fatalities
A group of Johannesburg friends who saw the crash – and whose companions, Braganca and Vaulina, were in the bakkie – dragged the pilot and his passenger from the burning wreckage moments before it was engulfed by flames.
The group were “freeboarding”, an extreme sport in which a skateboard is ridden on steep tarred roads.
Rodney said the group did not feel heroic but “we were lucky to be there for them” because the plane was engulfed in flames moments after the men were dragged to safety.
wow thankfully they were there. good job guys thats out of this world
Wow wasn’t there like anywhere else in that huge open field/hill where they could’ve crashed? lol
awesome…just imagine looking down a run and seeing your car get nailed by a plane!!
I guess after exercising your bravery thru daily “freeboarding” , saving lives is child’s play.
fuck that i would of fucking pulled them out of the plane and kicked them in the stomach a few times for almost destroying my two girlfriends..
Thats some straight boyscout shit right there… good job guys!

JOHN: Dude, I may have to take you up that.
Philips707: It’s a rad road 1.2km three tight turns, and a gnarly chicane right at the end.
Tim: Marco agrees, he’s just pissed that the Pure Rush pick-up (our “ski-lift” as it were) got taken out.
Everyone else: Thanks loads, looking forward to riding with you some time.
Respect…!
p.s. WTF. Why is this post tagged New Zealand? We’re about a 20-hour flight from there (21 hours if you include stopping to crash into freeborders).
