Helmets Save Lives

Could have been curtains for our own Stevie-B without his trusted Bern helmet.

This is what happens when a bus comes around the corner and you hit a bunch of parked cars:

Wear your helmet!

Freebord

Progression and innovation is what drives us. Through years of evolution and rider driven design, Freebord has engineered a setup that rides exactly like a snowboard on pavement.

    HEY DOM,

AFTER I MAKE THE TEAM ALL RIDE IN HELMETS SHOULD I ALSO FORCE THEM TO ALL RIDE S2’S AS WELL?

    COMFORT IS KEY!

EVERYONE WHO RIDES HAS A CHOICE TO WEAR A HELMET. IT IS UP TO THE USER TO DECIDE.

helmets are good, i had a friend who went down and never got back up because he was not wearing a helmet.

  • Monte says:

Of coarse it’s up to the rider to decide but in my opinion a helmet is a must if your going to be riding over 20mph or so. When I just go out on mellow hills for a chill ride I never wear one but If i’m going down something serious I always wear one. My helmet has def saved me a few hospital trips. Helmet +1

  • Tecumseh says:

when you can save yo head and not be dead,
when you are not in a hospital bed and can shred,
when you ride responsible, you might not be a sponsored bro,
when you prevent bad things from happening for your family,
then, you are really the cool guy, then you have more respect for life, your Parent’s or Kid’s, and our brothers who have passed away from not wearing a helm.
what good is cool any way, yea having a choice in wearing a helmet is good make the right one now! this could have been a tragedy story… I’m glad it’s not, Good thinking B. glad to still have you on bord…

  • me says:

really good he was wearing a helmet… i dont want to know how this would have endet without one x(
i started wearing one on every single ride this year and im kinda proud of it… i think the way of view has to change… its like you never see any speedboarders and racing longboarders without a helmet… well at least i feel a lot safer with my helmet…

  • tyerMURG says:

    At monte.
My neghbor whos excellent at skateing went into a coma because he fell of his board without wearing a helmet.
But he wasnt even moving, he was just standing on it.

I started to use my helmet on every run about 4 months ago and will continue to do so forever. Texas has always been dangerous that fucking bus comes barreling up that road ever 15 minutes, I have almost been hit by it myself. People need to realize that Texas street is more dangerous then previously thought. I’m not going to go down that hill anymore going as fast as i used too thats for sure. get well soon steve.

  • stevie-b says:

Just wear your helmet, find one that is comfortable for you and wear it.

    Why die?

  • someonesuper says:

maybe its karma for being such a bad person?

  • someonecooler says:

or maybe it is because big stevie-b sucks at freebording so much?

  • stevie-b says:

^your an idiot…maybe it’s not hard at all to find out who you really are

  • banzaiMunk says:

youre a faggot someonesuper. a kid at VT died longboarding down a mellow hill a few days after the accident

  • Arthur says:

Man that’s insane. I was actually going to see if you wanted to ride again soon because the weathers nice now… Anyway hope to see your good enough to post on the forum.

  • Arthur says:

Comment fuck up. I meant hope to see you on your board again and it’s good to see your okay enough to post on the forums.

  • Low-rent says:

Wish you a quick recovery steve !

And yeah, you can choose not to wear a helmet but I think it’s not fair towards people who loves you (family, friends, girlfriend,…).
