Episode 1 of the 2011 Community Shred Video Series:

Thanks to everyone who submitted: David Gault, Romain Silantieff, JP Pecout, Jordi Puig, “Ride for Sam” attendees (Bently Anderson, Mike Hoppe, John Laudin & Steve Draper), Denis Lapiner, Nicolas from Switzerland, Cristiano Lemke, Gianluigi Groce and Oliver Wanczura.

We’re now accepting footage for Community Shred Episode 2. See below for details:

Start stockpiling your footy! We’re bringing back the spirit of the Riders Represent video series, with 3 rider-submitted, Freebord-edited videos released throughout the summer.

Whether you’ve been riding for 10 years or 2 months, go out and film your local shred and show us what Freebording is to you:  an urban run, a sweet mountain road, a skatepark or anything you have fun on. Then, edit it down to the best 1 minute and send it in to Freebord.

Some riders like to bomb hills, others just chill ride and enjoy the air… the idea of this video series is to showcase one of the greatest things about Freebording: the diversity of our riding community.

How to Enter:

  • Film and gather 1 minute of riding: no crazy editing, no music, just raw sound. Make sure you are wearing a helmet. If you want, you can add 1 more minute of scenic or lifestyle shots for the editor to play with.
  • Send an email to [email protected] with your name, age,  city and year your started riding. We’ll hit you back with details on how to upload your footage.
  • If at all possible, please send un-released footage.

There will be 3 videos throughout the summer so the deadline is rolling. We’ll produce the videos as footage comes in. If you submit multiple times you could make it into all 3 videos! Email [email protected] for more info and with questions.
