A while back we sent a little Q&A to Quentin Mestre…

Photo by: Thibaut Eychene: La Plagne, French Alps

Q: How old are you?  || Quentin: I’m 18

Q: What’s your board setup || Quentin: I’m on the anticonformist team, so I ride with an anticonformist deck it’s an 80 cm, it’s awesome, large, flex, I love this deck.

Q: How long have you been riding?  || Quentin: Since I was 15, so 3 years

Q: Favorite Freebord trick? || Quentin: I love press combos,

Q: Where do you live?  || Quentin: I live in Grenoble since one month ago, I started freeboard in Paris with Nicolas Garel, Thibaut Eychene, and the NFR crew.

Q: How long has NFR been riding as a group? || Quentin:  It’s a long story aha, at the beginning there are “Beavers Freebord Crew”, “BT2F Crew” and some others independent riders in all around the France. So the idea of project was to meet the -18 year old riders, all 16 of them. It was in 2012, the first NFR trip, So 2 years and half

Q: 16 riders? That’s the single largest organized group or riders as far as we know. Who organizes all of that? || Quentin:  We have like a chief per region in France, who organize different step for every trip. This year it was Pierre Delacahanal and Antoine Cauterman for the Alps sessions, and me for the Normandy area. We have also Nicolas in Paris.

Q: Let’s say a rookie French riders wants to ride with the NFR what should they do who should they contact? || They can contact me or other members of the crew on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/pages/New-French-Riders-Crew/447526985314167) Everyone is welcome. The goal of our crew is to create a community with as much riders as possible and who are motivated & have a similar age.

Q: Say whatever you want it’s going to be on the web site|| I would like to say that we have some great challengers in the crew, particularly for the “rookie of the year” competition with Pierre Delachanal. We have many project for the future and we will be glad to ride with you and why not to share a trip with you, probably we will do a trip to SF in few years.
