Freebording On Flat Land

We constantly get bombarded with messages from people asking “Is it possible to ride a Freebord on flat ground”.  And while Freebord was designed for downhill riding, that doesn’t mean it can’t be ridden on the flats. Joshua Wacaster schools us all in his latest video where he shreds the flat lands in the Big Apple.

Here’s what Josh had to say about it, “The look on peoples faces when they see a board sliding sideways as though it’s sliding on snow is what keeps me practicing. Not only do I love the amount of potential for freestyle slide combinations but the social interaction that comes with it when in an urban setting. I enjoy riding at night because there are fewer people getting in the way in a city of 8 million people. This video was shot in Union Square Park, Central Park, Columbus Circle, Queens, and Uptown Manhattan all in NYC. It was filmed by my friend Raye Chance and the music is Mutant Genius by Gorillaz.”

I think these boards are really cool, but i would love to see a caster board that can propel itself on flat land and carves like these do. Are you guys thinking at all about making a casterboard model?

  • Im the station director of the college radio station at the university of Houston we were going to do a big give away for one of our sports shows and we were looking into one of the boards off yours website . we were hoping you guys sent samples of the product ?
