Props to Tyler Murgo (US) and Owen Carless (AU) who were featured in their local newspapers this week.

The Campbelltown Macarthur Advertiser hit Owen up for a story on freebording in Campbelltown where, “people visit Campbelltown from all over Sydney to use the long, steep, smooth hills with no traffic that are found in the area.” East Bay RI talked to Tyler about being “one of the youngest, and most promising talents in the sport.”

Bristol boy gets invite from pro team

BRISTOL — Though not many around here have heard of freebording, a Mt. Hope High School senior was recently dubbed a standout rider in the sport, an honor bestowed on him by professional freeborders.

Freebording (spelled without an “a”) is one of the latest extreme sports to gather an enthusiastic, if not commercial, following, mostly on the West Coast and in Europe. But one of the youngest, and most promising talents in the sport, lives in Bristol.
