 International rider Nicolas Garel took a few minutes to sit down with us and answer some questions about his riding, background, and how he got into the sport!

Q: How old are you?  ||  Nicolas: I’m 17

Q: Where do you live?  ||  Nicolas: Paris, France

Q: What’s your board setup ||  Nicolas: 83 MidWide Bamboo deck, pads between board and baseplate, trucks loose, bindings ducked, and maximum rocker.

Q: How did you get started?  ||  NicolasI was riding the waveboard until a friend made us discover Freebord, I immediately wanted to buy one!

Q: How long have you been riding?  ||  Nicolas: 3 years

Q: What’s your favorite thing about Freebord?   ||  Nicolas: To have complete control of your board. 

Q: Do you snowboard, if so where?  ||   Nicolas: Yes I snowboard all years in the “7 Laux” next to Grenoble in the french Alpes. I started snowboarding after riding a Freebord. 

Q: What would you say to others thinking about getting into the sport? ||  Nicolas: This is a really good sport and the community is very cool.
